First off… The Big News 👇

Its time to focus on what is happening in California, Whatever your political preference most of you understand that we are fighting for our rights as Calfironians as the one party rule both in State Government, and in our largest metropolitan areas is continuing to work in their own self interests, not seeming to care about the lives of the majority of us burdened by high costs and an infrastructure that is failing.

First up is the most controversial, which is the redistricting plan that Gavin Newsom and the super majority in the legislature are trying to override what we have voted in by slipping through a ballot measure simply because they don’t like what is going on in Texas.

May I remind you that we are California. As you will see from the first story, our own State agency won't even comment on the legality of it.

BREAKING NEWS

California Democrats Hide Behind Legal Loopholes in Redistricting Power Grab

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • California’s Legislative Counsel has declined to publicly evaluate whether the Democratic-led push to redraw congressional maps is legal, citing confidentiality rules tied to its role advising lawmakers.

  • Republican Assemblyman Carl DeMaio formally requested that the counsel publicly assess how the plan may violate state constitutional provisions that require independent, commission-led redistricting.

  • Legislative Counsel Cara Jenkins said the office provides confidential legal guidance to legislators and is not authorized to offer interpretive legal opinions to the public.

  • Meanwhile, lawmakers are reportedly working behind closed doors to finalize new congressional maps designed to target five Republican-held districts for a special November 4 vote.

  • Critics argue the legislature lacks the authority to draw the maps—a power that belongs to an independent commission established by voter initiatives.

  • DeMaio warned that voters and federal courts may ultimately reject or overturn what he called an illegal process.

Learn from this investor’s $100m mistake

In 2010, a Grammy-winning artist passed on investing $200K in an emerging real estate disruptor. That stake could be worth $100+ million today.

One year later, another real estate disruptor, Zillow, went public. This time, everyday investors had regrets, missing pre-IPO gains.

Now, a new real estate innovator, Pacaso – founded by a former Zillow exec – is disrupting a $1.3T market. And unlike the others, you can invest in Pacaso as a private company.

Pacaso’s co-ownership model has generated $1B+ in luxury home sales and service fees, earned $110M+ in gross profits to date, and received backing from the same VCs behind Uber, Venmo, and eBay. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

Paid advertisement for Pacaso’s Regulation A offering. Read the offering circular at invest.pacaso.com. Reserving a ticker symbol is not a guarantee that the company will go public. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals.

If You Wonder Why It’s So Difficult to Operate in California Every Day, Look At This👇

Wanna know why California is full of red tape? Here is a chart of the number of bills introduced by the Legislature. 2,784 bills so far this year.

Each bill has the potential of making our lives more complicated and expensive.

Some are born out of the wild and whimsical thoughts of self-serving, woke politicians.

We really need a part time legislature...or a least a full time one which does not feel obligated to justify their jobs by making our lives more difficult.

Next, read about a state agency run amok with your dollars from the type of bills we pass

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • A little-known California agency, the ScholarShare Investment Board (SIB), saw its budget skyrocket from $2.9 million to $198 million over the past decade.

  • Despite this massive funding increase, only 11% of eligible students have claimed the scholarships the agency provides.

  • Critics argue the unused funds may be redirected for other political purposes, calling the program a slush fund disguised as student aid.

  • The situation has raised questions about government spending priorities and whether these funds are benefiting underserved communities or politically favored groups.

Los Angeles City is a Mess

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Los Angeles has spiraled into decline under decades of progressive rule, where ideology has replaced competence and common sense.

  • The city prioritizes illegal immigrants, drug addicts, and the mentally ill over taxpaying residents, offering subsidized housing and protections, while working families face rising crime and collapsing services.

  • Laws meant to maintain order have been gutted, leaving neighborhoods overwhelmed by theft, encampments, and open-air drug markets.

  • Police staffing has plummeted, while the city has effectively decriminalized criminal behavior.

  • Middle-class families are fleeing in droves as infrastructure crumbles, taxes rise, and city leadership remains focused on virtue-signaling rather than governing.

  • The result is a two-tier system where lawbreakers are rewarded and law-abiding citizens are punished for playing by the rules.

LA City Councilmember Curren Price Faces Two More Corruption Charges

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

Just a month ago, Los Angeles City Councilman Curren Price was seen marching in the streets, calling for higher wages. What the mainstream press failed to mention is that he’s facing a growing list of felony corruption charges—charges that strike at the core of his role as a public servant.

Price is currently up against five felony counts of embezzlement of government funds, three felony counts of perjury, and four felony counts of conflict of interest. Prosecutors allege that he voted to approve projects that directly benefited his wife’s consulting firm, Del Richardson & Associates, and failed to disclose these financial ties on official government forms. He’s also accused of using city funds to pay for his wife’s medical benefits—while still legally married to another woman.

The District Attorney’s office described his alleged behavior as “the antithesis of public service.” Price has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and his spokesperson claims the latest additions to the case are simply “piling on to a weak case,” denying that Price had knowledge of any conflicts during his votes.

Price’s arraignment on the amended complaint, which includes the two newest charges, is set for August 14, 2025.

So while he’s protesting in front of cameras for economic justice, behind the scenes, he’s preparing to stand trial for violating the public trust.

Gavin Newsom LAUNDERED MILLIONS Through His Own Wife — And Used YOUR Tax Dollars to Do It

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • In 2019, Gavin Newsom created a taxpayer-funded office called “The Office of the First Partner,” a made-up government entity with no real function other than to pay his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, a public salary.

  • Through this office, over $5 million in taxpayer funds were funneled to support Jennifer’s personal projects and branding campaigns, despite the office doing nothing to address California’s pressing issues like homelessness, crime, or failing infrastructure.

  • Critics describe this as blatant corruption and political self-dealing masked under progressive language and bureaucratic sleight of hand.

  • While California families and businesses struggle under rising taxes, high gas prices, and deteriorating public services, Newsom’s household allegedly profited off a fake government office.

  • Media outlets have stayed largely silent on the issue, raising accusations of partisan protection and selective outrage.

  • The piece closes by calling on the public to demand transparency and accountability, arguing that if a Republican had done the same, it would dominate national headlines.

Time to check out and make your voice heard on AB495 before it’s too late

As you’ve likely heard, AB 495 is the most dangerous bill to hit California in decades. Progressives are trying to sell it as “compassion” for immigrant children—but make no mistake—it’s neither compassionate for immigrants nor for California’s children.

This bill is riddled with massive loopholes, dressed up as “safeguards,” but don’t be fooled. AB 495 hands non-parents the legal title of “caregiver”—a made-up status with no precedent in law—and it can be claimed simply by filling out an affidavit. No court review. No parent signature required.

Our guest column focuses on that today.

Code Red: The Trojan Horse Parents Don’t See Coming — How AB 495 Threatens Your Family’s Freedom

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • AB 495, branded as the “Family Preparedness Plan Act,” is being portrayed as a compassionate measure to protect children whose parents might suddenly become unavailable due to detention or deportation.

  • Under the bill, California’s local education bodies must help parents set up a “Family Preparedness Plan” in which a designated trusted adult steps in temporarily for the child.

  • But critics—a bloc of parental rights advocates—argue that the bill opens the door for non-related adults, including teachers, neighbors, or activists, to assume caregiving authority through a simple, unchecked affidavit.

  • This could allow them to enroll the child in school, consent to medical treatment, and make decisions—without parental knowledge, court orders, or background checks.

  • The measure also forbids schools and daycare centers from collecting or sharing any information about a child’s immigration status, even when raised safety concerns argue otherwise.

  • Opponents warn that this creates a pathway for abuse or trafficking, calling it a “Trojan Horse” that erodes parental authority under the guise of family protection.

  • Supporters insist AB 495 fills a gap in existing law by giving clear, legally recognized tools for families facing separation.

  • Meanwhile, critics argue the safeguards are inadequate and the bill’s language goes much broader than its stated intent, putting all California families—regardless of citizenship—at risk of having someone claim temporary custody without oversight.
