GAVIN NEWSOM IS SINKING
Although Gavin Newsom is termed out for the next cycle, don’t think he is doing his party any favors…

Convicted of Vehicular Manslaughter? California DMV Says You Can Still Drive

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
A CalMatters investigation reveals that the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) frequently permits drivers with severe histories of dangerous behavior—including DUIs, collisions, and numerous traffic violations—to maintain valid licenses.
Notably, nearly 40% of individuals charged with vehicular manslaughter since 2019 still possess active licenses.
The DMV has reissued licenses to approximately 150 drivers within a year of their involvement in fatal incidents, and nearly 400 have received citations or been involved in additional collisions post-crash.
In many cases, the DMV lacks records of vehicular manslaughter convictions, allowing these drivers to continue operating vehicles.
This pattern underscores systemic failures in revoking driving privileges, raising significant public safety concerns.
Exposing the Cover-Up: California Bill Makes It Illegal for Politicians to Use NDAs on Taxpayer Deals
California bill that would make it a crime for state lawmakers to sign NDAs when making new laws, using taxpayer dollars clears another hurdle.
Apparently, it will cost the state money and is heading next to the Assembly Appropriations Committee.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
A California bill that would make it a crime for state lawmakers to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) when crafting legislation involving taxpayer dollars has cleared another legislative hurdle.
The proposed law aims to enhance transparency by prohibiting secretive agreements that could conceal details of how public funds are allocated.
Supporters argue that such NDAs undermine public trust and accountability in the legislative process.
The bill’s advancement reflects growing concern over the use of NDAs in government dealings.
If enacted, the law would mark a significant step toward open governance in California.
BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: ADAM SCHIFF
ADAM SCHIFF IN DEEP SCHIFF — Evidence Shows He Falsely Registered, Ineligibly Voted, and/or Committed Mortgage Fraud

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Representative Adam Schiff is facing allegations of mortgage fraud and ineligible voting due to claims of dual residency in California and Maryland.
Reports suggest that Schiff declared his Maryland home as his primary residence to obtain favorable mortgage terms while simultaneously registering to vote in California.
An ethics complaint has been filed, highlighting potential violations of state and federal laws.
Critics argue that these actions may undermine public trust and raise questions about accountability among elected officials.
Schiff has dismissed the allegations, referring to them as a “non-issue” during his Senate campaign.
LA Homeless Agency Pays $800K in Settlements, Then Refuses to Disclose Details
NEW: LA homelessness officials are refusing to release public records to LAist about allegations of high-level wrongdoing — including whistleblower retaliation — that led to $800,000 in taxpayer payouts.
Attorneys say it’s unlawful for LAHSA to withhold.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) has paid $800,000 to settle wrongful termination and whistleblower retaliation claims filed by two former executives, Kristina Dixon and Emily Vaughn Henry.
Despite the use of public funds, LAHSA is withholding the underlying claims, citing exemptions like attorney-client privilege.
Legal experts argue that such records should be publicly accessible under California’s Public Records Act, especially when settlements involve taxpayer money.
The settlement agreements list allegations including discrimination, harassment, and defamation, but lack detailed information.
LAHSA’s refusal to release these records raises concerns about transparency and accountability within the agency.
AI-Powered Lawsuit Uncovers 25-Year, $152M Eco-Fraud in California
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
John Sweeney and Jennifer Frost have filed a groundbreaking $665 million federal lawsuit, reportedly the first AI-drafted civil rights and RICO case in U.S. history, alleging a 25-year environmental fraud scheme in California.
The lawsuit claims that state agencies and officials fabricated wetland restoration projects, resulting in the misappropriation of $152 million in property and contributing to the near extinction of the Delta Smelt.
After being denied legal representation, the couple utilized xAI’s Grok and OpenAI’s ChatGPT to analyze over 7,000 court documents and construct their case.
The suit also accuses the judiciary of complicity, citing instances where due process was allegedly denied and property was seized unlawfully.
This case highlights the potential of AI in empowering individuals to challenge systemic corruption and seek justice.

This development underscores ongoing scrutiny and legal challenges faced by the tech giant regarding antitrust issues.
The repeated judicial condemnation may influence future regulatory actions and public perception of Google’s operations.

California Lawmakers Waste Time Making Bigfoot an Official State Symbol

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
California Assemblymember Chris Rogers has introduced Assembly Bill 666, aiming to designate Bigfoot as the state’s official cryptid.
Initially conceived as a lighthearted placeholder, the bill has gained serious attention, even featuring on national television.
Rogers emphasizes Bigfoot’s cultural significance, particularly in regions like Willow Creek, known as the “Bigfoot Capital of the World.”
The town hosts annual events and houses a museum dedicated to the legendary creature, highlighting its impact on local tourism and identity.
If passed, the bill would add Bigfoot to California’s roster of state symbols, celebrating its place in folklore and regional heritage.
LA mayor: $800M deficit, layoffs coming, seeking bailout

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
During her State of the City address Monday, Castro loving racist black Democrat Mayor Karen Bass said she is traveling to Sacramento to seek a state bailout for the $800 million LA deficit.
But if Democrat Governor Mimbo, facing a $10 billion a year deficit of his own, won’t fund such a bailout amid mass emigration by companies out of business-unfriendly LA LA Land and California, resulting in falling sales and corporate tax revenue and employment, more layoffs could be necessary.
With 61,455 employees, 1,647 layoffs equate to a workforce reduction of 2.7%. With just over $8.3 billion paid out in payroll last year, the city pays its employees an average of $135,355 per year, or more than double the median citywide salary of $57,247 per year.
This means the announced layoffs would only cover about a quarter of the at least $800 million deficit.
So, of course, she won’t take responsibility for her Reign of Error.
California Taxpayers Hit Hard as Medi-Cal Costs Double from Weight Loss Drugs and Illegal Immigrant Coverage

The California Legislative Analyst’s Office reports that Medi-Cal drug spending has doubled from $4 billion in 2018 to $8 billion in 2024, despite only a 15% increase in enrollment.
A significant portion of this rise is due to costly weight loss and diabetes drugs like Ozempic, which alone account for 25% of the spending growth.
Additionally, expanded coverage for illegal immigrants, who aren’t eligible for drug rebates, has placed a larger financial burden on taxpayers.
California has spent $9.5 billion on healthcare for illegal immigrants this year, with lawmakers stating that half of Medi-Cal’s cost increase is tied to this expansion.
Governor Newsom has requested a $6.2 billion bailout to cover Medi-Cal’s unexpected expenses, prompting calls for an audit of the program.
