FACEBOOK ON TRIAL

The fate of social media giant Meta, billionaire Mark Zuckerberg’s primary company, is on the line as a trial begins in Washington on Monday to determine whether the tech giant is violating antitrust laws.
The Federal Trade Commission, which has spent the past six years investigating Meta, is expected to argue before U.S. District Judge James Boasberg that Meta’s acquisitions of Instagram and WhatsApp created an illegal monopoly over social networking.
In the worst-case scenario for Meta, the company could be forced to divest both subsidiaries in a breakup on a scale not seen since the dismantling of AT&T’s telephone empire more than 40 years ago.

VOTER FRAUD in Orange County

Shocking report results indicate that one-fifth of the voters in the 2024 election in Orange County, CA were non-citizens, invalid, or phantom voters.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Joe Hoft alleges that approximately 20% of voters in Orange County, California, during the 2024 election were either non-citizens, invalid, or “phantom” voters.
The report claims that 77,000 ballots could not be matched to any registered voter, suggesting significant irregularities.
Hoft criticizes the Orange County Registrar of Voters for purportedly being reluctant to investigate these discrepancies.
The article has gained attention on social media, including a retweet by Elon Musk, amplifying its reach.
However, it’s important to note that such claims should be approached with caution, as widespread voter fraud allegations have been widely debunked by multiple credible sources.

HOT TAKE
IS IT TIME TO DRILL, BABY, DRILL IN CALIFORNIA? OR WAIT FOR THE STATE TO GO UNDER?

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
California already imports 75% of the oil we use, mostly from foreign countries. That’s one of the reasons why supporting California’s existing, local oil and natural gas production is so important
Restricting the ability for California to continue producing the energy it needs would increase foreign oil imports, result in higher gas prices at the pump and risk serious energy supply shortages.
California’s local oil and natural gas production generates $1.5 billion in state and local tax revenues to fund schools, social services, and public safety and is powered by 50,000 Californians.
Keeping California’s production local funds vital services, protects jobs, and decreases our reliance on more costly foreign oil and the volatile foreign countries that supply it.
The world’s most environmentally regulated oil and natural gas production is right here in California.
As we transition to a cleaner energy economy, we should continue to produce the oil and natural gas Californians need locally and responsibly - rather than increase our reliance on costly foreign oil produced in countries without our same environmental, labor and human rights standards.
