Gavin Newsom is facing renewed accusations of corruption over multiple no-bid contracts and taxpayer-funded programs with little to no results.
During COVID, he awarded a $1 billion no-bid face mask contract to a political consulting firm with no manufacturing experience, and critics argue he continues this pattern today.
Assemblymember Carl DeMaio exposed Newsom’s taxpayer-funded “Hate Crime Hotline” as a $5 million “PR stunt” that, in two years, has produced zero hate crime referrals despite exorbitant costs per call and referral.
