7.0 Earthquake hits Northern California, Tsunami Warning Triggered
A powerful 7.0 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of Humboldt County, triggering a tsunami warning for parts of Northern California, from Eureka to the Oregon border.
The quake, recorded by the U.S. Geological Survey, occurred at approximately 10:44 a.m. near Ferndale, about 225 miles Northwest of San Francisco.
